Modakeke (Osun), Aug 14, 2017 (NAN) Three men, who allegedly stole four aluminum sheets valued at N20, 000, were on Monday arraigned in Osun.
The accused: Taiwo Salawu, 27; Tunde Adejumo, 24, and Azeez Moruf, 26, are facing a two-count-charge of conspiracy and stealing before a Modakeke Magistrates’ Court.
Police Prosecutor Ona Glory told the court that the accused and others still at large committed the offences at 7 a.m. at Starlink Global & Ideal Ltd., Modakeke-Ife.
Glory said the accused conspired and stole the aluminum sheets belonging to Starlink Global &Ideal Ltd.
He said the offences contravened Section 383 of the Criminal Law of Osun, 2006.
The accused pleaded not guilty to the charges.
The counsel to the accused, Mr Martins Awe, urged the court to grant his clients bail on liberal terms.
In his ruling, Magistrate Olalekan Ijiyode granted the accused bail in the sum of N50, 000 each with one surety each in like sum.
Ijiyode said the surety should swear to affidavit of means and should reside within the court’s jurisdiction.
He said the surety should show evidence of tax payment to the Osun State Government.
Ijiyode adjourned the case until Sept. 27 for mention. (NAN)
