Keffi local council chief urges Nasarawa govt. to rehabilitate roads, build drains

Keffi (Nasarawa State), Aug. 5, 2017 (NAN) Alhaji Isma’ila Nuhu, the Interim Management Committee Chairman, Keffi Local Government Council, Nasarawa State, has appealed to the state government to rehabilitate the roads in Keffi GRA.

Nuhu also urged the government to build more drains in the area to improve the standard of living of the people.

The local government chief made the call on Saturday at the official installation and presentation of first class staff of office to Dr. Shehu Chindo Yamusa III as the new Emir of Keffi.

He applauded Almakura for providing the dividends of democracy to the people of Keffi especially in the area of infrastructure development.

“We in Keffi will forever remain grateful to his administration for initiating projects with direct bearing on improved living standard for our people

“We thank him for building a road network, bridges, clinics, and an e-library, among others things in Keffi

“However, we are appealing for the reconstruction or rehabilitation of the road along GRA Keffi and building of more drainage systems,” he said.

Nuhu assured Almakura of the local government council’s total support and loyalty to enable his administration to succeed in the task ahead of him.

He also assure the new Emir of Keffi of the council’s readiness to work closely with the traditional institution to promote peaceful co-existence in the area. (NAN)
