FCTA recalls 161 R of O for verification

Abuja, July 3, 2017 (NAN) The FCT Administration has recalled 161 Rights of Occupancy issued to land beneficiaries over some discrepancies in the land allocation at the FCT for immediate verification.
The Deputy Director (Information & Customer Service), Abuja Geographic Information Systems (AGIS), Mr Muhammad Sule, made this known in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Monday in Abuja.
The deputy director explained that some plots of land had different issues, which required recall for verification.
According to him, the holders of such plots of land, whose names and plot numbers are already published in some newspapers, including individuals and corporate organisations residents across all the 36 states of the federation and the FCT.
“The holders of such titles have been given six weeks from June 23 to return their Rights of Occupancy to the FCT Department of Land Administration in Abuja for proper documentation.
“Accordingly, individuals and corporate organisations in possession of such Rights of Occupancy should within the six weeks stipulated time comply or have such titles voided,’’ he warned.
Meanwhile, Sule told NAN that this verification was the first batch as the exercise was ongoing.(NAN)
