Lawmaker disburses N2m cash, 10 motorcycles to constituents

Obi (Nasarawa state) June 24, 2017 (NAN) A member representing Obi 1 constituency in the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Alhaji Sani Isah, has disbursed N2million cash to his constituents to cushion the hardship during sallah.

Isah (APC), while disbursing the money on Saturday to the beneficiaries in Obi, urged them to support the All Progressives Congress (APC) government both at the federal and state levels.

According to him, their support will enable government to bring the desire change as well as the much needed dividends of democracy to the constituency.

News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that some electorate were given N20, 000 each while others were given N10,000 each.

The disbursement cuts across the five electoral wards of the constituency, which include Adudu, Tudun Adabu, Obi, Agwatashi and Daddere ward of the constituency.

The Lawmaker also distributed 10 motorcycles to some electorate in the constituency.

He promised to initiate more policies and projects that would have direct bearing on the lives of his constituents, so as to improve in their standard of living.

The lawmaker thanked the constituents for their continue support and promised to do more project in order to impact positively on their lives.

According to him, the gesture is apart of my campaign promises as the All Progressives Congress (APC) has mandated us to embark on projects that will direct bearing on the lives of the electorate.

Isah urged the beneficiaries to ensure judicious utilization of the money in order to improve their standard of living during the sallah.

He assured them of quality representation and solicited for their support to enable him and others lawmakers succeed in the task ahead of them.

The lawmaker called on the people of his constituency and Nigerians to be law abiding, respect constituted authorities, shun all negative tendencies and to live in peace and tolerate one another irrespective of ethnic, religious and political affiliation.

Also speaking, Mr Philip Shekwo, the state APC chairman, commended the lawmaker for fulfilling his campaign promises through initiating projects that have direct bearing on the lives of the electorate.

He called on other lawmakers and politicians to emulate him in order to improve on the standard of living of their constituents.

Some of the beneficiaries commended the lawmaker for the kind gesture and urged him to sustain it.
