Ships

Lagos, June 22, 2017 (NAN) Six ships laden with various products, including petrol, are at the Lagos ports waiting to berth, the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) said on Thursday.
The NPA disclosed this in its daily “Shipping Position” made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos, adding that three of the vessels had petrol consignment.
It said that three other ships would berth with bulk coke, bulk gypsum and bulk fertiliser.
It added that 33 other ships laden with petroleum products, food items and other goods were expected at Apapa and Tin-Can Island ports between Thursday and July 10.
“The expected ships are carrying buck wheat, containers, general cargoes, bulk gas, bulk fertiliser, empty container, bulk sugar, frozen fish, container, crude palm lien and petrol,’’ it said.
It also said that 19 other ships were currently at the ports discharging general cargoes, bulk wheat, empty container, base oil, full corn, frozen fish, diesel, base oil, bulk corn, bulk gas, petrol and container. (NAN)
