Abuja, June 20, 2017 (NAN) The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has predicted cloudy conditions over the Central States of the country on Wednesday with prospects of isolated thunderstorms over Abuja and Bida in the morning.
NiMet’s Weather Outlook by its Central Forecast Office (CFO) on Tuesday in Abuja also predicted day and night temperatures of 26 to 32 and 17 to 22 degrees Celsius respectively.
It added that later in the day, cloudy condition with chances of localised thunderstorm were expected over Lafia, Jos, Kaduna, Jalingo and Mambila plateau later in the day.
The agency also predicted that Southern States would experience cloudy conditions with isolated thunderstorms and rains over Iseyin, Shaki, Abeokuta, Lagos, Ijebu-Ode and Calabar in the morning hours.
It also predicted localised thunderstorms over southeast coast and cloudiness over southwest coast in the afternoon and evening with day and night temperatures of 30 to 34 and 20 to 25 degrees Celsius respectively.
According to NiMet, the Northern States will experience cloudy morning over the Northeast with chances of localised thunderstorm over Kano, Nguru, Maiduguri and Dutse in the afternoon and evening hours.
“There are prospects of day and night temperatures of 30 to 44 and 21 to 27 degrees Celsius respectively.
“Most parts of the country are favorable for rains and thunderstorm activities in the next 24 hours,” NiMet predicted. (NAN)
