Minna, Jun 17, 2017 ( NAN) Sheik Ibrahim Fari, Chief Imam of Minna central Mosque, on Saturday called on Nigerians to seek divine intervention to strengthen the nation’s unity, democracy and peaceful coexistence.
Fari told the News Agency of Nigeria ( NAN) in Minna that prayers will pave way for the country to overcome the present insecurity and economic challenges.
” We stand to benefit as one nation more than in separation” he said.
He said that time has come for Nigerians to set aside political and religious differences and to pray fervently to God for peace, progress and economic development of the country.
He also called for intensive prayers among Nigerians for God’s intervention on President Muhammadu Buhari’s health.
“The president has been doing a very good job in the areas of fighting corruption which was purely responsible for the nation’s set back.
” Nigerians, irrespective of religious and political differences should pray fervently to Almighty Allah to restore the President’s health to give him the ability to continue the lofty programmes he started.
He also called on Nigerians to support the Federal Government in the fight against corruption by embracing whistle blowing policy .
” Nigerians should not hesitate to come forward with required information that will enable the anti-graft agencies recovery the nation stolen funds “(NAN)
