Govt. warns poultry traders against unhygienic practice

Kano,  May 26, 2017 (NAN) The Kano State Government, on Friday, warned poultry traders at theTarauni market in Kano, against unhealthy attitude to their environment.

The Commissioner for Environment, Dr Ali Makoda, gave this warning during the monthly sanitation exercise at workplaces, markets and motor parks in Kano.

Makoda reminded the traders of the existence of residents around the market, who would be affected by the negative effects of their dirty environment.

Represented by the Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Alhaji Sagir Wali, the commissioner said that cleanliness was core in the Islamic culture.

According to him, a team of sanitary Inspectors will be assigned to be monitoring the environment regularly and any negative report after this warning will attract sanction from the government.

He also issued a similar warning to the authorities of the Alhaji Abubakar Rimi Television and Unguwa motor park respectively. (NAN)
