Berlin, May 26, 2017 (dpa/NAN) Terminals A and B at the Berlin Schoenefeld Airport were evacuated early on Friday after the Federal Police said that a fire broke out in a snack bar, injuring two.
Both terminals have since reopened, but the airport has warned travellers of potential delays.
No flights have been cancelled as a result.
“The fire broke out shortly before 8 a.m.at a fast-food stand outside the main building.
“It was extinguished within minutes,’’ the police said.
An airport spokesman said two snack-bar workers have been taken to hospital.
Smoke from the blaze spread indoors, meaning that the terminals had to be ventilated while frustrated travellers gathered in the car park outside. (dpa/NAN)
