Bindow urges military to cooperate with other security agencies

Yola, May 18, 2017 (NAN) Gov. Mohammed Bindow of Adamawa, has advised the leadership of the Nigeria Army in Adamawa to cooperate with other security agencies ensure crime Free State.

Bindow gave the advice on Thursday when he received Brig.-Gen. Bello Mohammed, the newly posted Brigade Commander of the 23rd Armoured Brigade, Yola.

He urged the new commander to work in harmony with other security agencies in the state to achieve the common goal of protection of lives and property.

The governor praised the outgoing commander for the leadership role he played within the security circle in the state and expressed his readiness to recommend him for future promotions in the army.

He advised the incoming commander to work hard and be steadfast.

In his response, Mohammed assured the governor of continuity with the policy of his predecessor.

Mohammed, who was redeployed from the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) as instructor, appealed to the governor to continue with his support for the military to ease his job.
The outgoing commander, Brig.-Gen. Benson Akinriloye, thanked Bindow for the support the military received from him during his tenure as Brigade Commander
Akinreloye, who was redeployed to Defence Headquarters as staff officer, hailed the governor for his humility and determination to ensure safety of lives and property of the people of the state. (NAN)
