Suspects
Yola, May 12, 2017 (NAN) The Police in Adamawa have arrested two suspects over a clash at Mubi International cattle market that led to the death of two people.
The command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Othman Abubakar, confirmed the arrest to newsmen on Friday in Yola.
“The suspects are now with the CID where the case is being handled,” Abubakar said.
He, however, did not give further details.
An eye witness told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that the incident occurred on Wednesday between two people who seemed to be arguing over a balance of cattle money which led to the fisticuffs.
“One of them, who is the cattle owner, brought out a dagger and stabbed the other who bled to death.
“The development led to a mob action on the suspected killer who later died in the hospital,” the eye witness, who simply identified himself as Bappa, said. (NAN)
