Abuja, May 6, 2017 (NAN) Rev. Uzzah Wado of Compassion and Wisdom church, Kaduna, on Saturday urged Christians to assist the government in achieving the desired change that Nigerians are clamouring for.

Wado gave the advice at an All Night prayer programme titled: “Let’s Pray Nigeria,’’ held at the National Christian Centre, Abuja.

He spoke on the topic: “It is Time for the churches to Arise’’ in a programme organised by The Apostolic Church Nigeria, FCT Field, in collaboration with the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN).

Wado said that Nigeria remained where it is because Christians had fail in their responsibilities to pray for the country.

“If there will be change in Nigeria, we must arise and take our position in the affairs of the nation.

“We must look unto God, knowing that we were called as Christians to disciple nations.

“God want us to go into the market place which is the heart of the nation. We are to take the kingdom of God to where the kingdom of darkness is,’’ he said.

Earlier, the initiator of the programme, Pastor John Buzu, the Field Superintendent of The Apostolic Church Nigeria, FCT, said the desired change would be achieved when Christians unite and speak with one voice.

“It is only when we come together to speak and act as one that we can move Nigeria forward for the desire change.

“As Christians, we have slept for so long and now it is time to act, no matter our denominations.

“When we speak with one voice, we will overcome the devil,’’ he said.

Buzu said Christians have been praying for too long without action, adding that it was time to rise and act for change to be effected in Nigeria.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the programme attracted renowned men of God from The Apostolic Church Nigeria, FCT Field and the PFN.
