Lagos, May 3, 217 (NAN) The International Cricket Council (ICC) on Wednesday launched a new cricket mobile app with features that will excite fans, at the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy in England and Wales.
ICC’s said on its website that the app would offer coverage through 365 days of the year across all current and upcoming series and tournaments, including fixtures, results, videos, ICC news and more.
Cricket fans will be able to follow and support their favourite teams, receiving breaking news and score notifications, adding that the app would be available to iOS and Android users and could be downloaded.
The ICC also announced the launch of its fans’ newsletter, “Leading Edge’’ (www.icc-cricket.com/register) which will deliver personalised cricket content and promotional offers from ICC Events to fans around the globe.
According to Aarti Dabas, ICC Head of Media Rights, Broadcast and Digital, the mobile app and fans’ newsletter “Leading Edge’’ are aimed to provide cricket fans with relevant and personalised content in 2017.
“ICC’s digital products will not only give cricket fans a chance to keep abreast with all international cricket news, but also provide them with in-depth coverage during ICC events.
The Champions Trophy 2017 will hold from June 1 to June 18. (NAN)
