Appointments

Dutse, April 24, 2017 (NAN) Gov. Muhammad Badaru of Jigawa has approved the appointment of Dr Ali Abdu, as Rector of the state polytechnic located in Dutse.
A statement by the Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Adamu Abdulkadir, also announced the appointment of Iliyasu Husseini and Muhammad Abubakar as registrars of the state polytechnic in Dutse and Binyaminu Usman Polytechnic Hadejia, respectively.
It said that Abdu was a senior lecturer at the Geology Department of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, while Husseini was the Director Sports, Federal University, Dutse.
Other appointments approved by the governor were that of Umar Galadima, Registrar, Jigawa State Institute for Information Technology, Kazaure and that of Muhammad Tanimu, also as Registrar, Jigawa State College of Education, Gumel.
Until their new appointments, Galadima was a Staff of Husseini Adamu Federal Polytechnic, Kazaure, while Tanimu was the Acting Registrar of the College of Education.
It further said that Musa Usman, a staff of the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning, has been deployed to serve as the Bursar of the College of Education in Gumel.
The statement disclosed that all the appointments were with immediate effect. (NAN)
