NiMet predicts cloudy, sunny, hazy atmosphere for Saturday

Abuja, April 21, 2017 (NAN) The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet), has predicted partly cloudy morning over the central states of the country on Saturday.

NiMet’s Weather Outlook by its Central Forecast Office (CFO), on Friday in Abuja, also predicted prospect of localised thunderstorms over Jos, Abuja, Lafia, Jalingo, Yola and Makurdi later in the day.

It added that the region would have day and night temperatures of 33 to 40 and 18 to 26 degrees Celsius respectively.

The agency predicted that Southern States would experience cloudy morning with localized thunderstorms over Lagos with day and night temperatures of 32 to 36 and 22 to 25 degrees Celsius respectively.

It also predicted chances localized thunderstorms over places like Benin, Awka, Enugu, Ado-Ekiti, Osogbo, Portharcourt, Calabar, Eket and Uyo later in the day.

According to NiMet, sunny and hazy conditions are expected over the Northern region throughout the forecast period with day and night temperature of 33 to 42 and 18 to 30 degrees Celsius respectively.

“Sunny and hazy conditions are expected over the northern part of the country while the south and the central cities have prospects of localized thunderstorms in the next 24 hours,” NiMet predicted. (NAN)
