Owerri, April 16, 2017 (NAN) The Chaplain of St Josephs’ Catholic Chaplaincy, Imo state University, Rev. Fr. Anthony Njoku, has urged Christians to exhibit higher moral values in their everyday life.
Njoku made the call while delivering the homily on Easter Sunday at the chaplaincy in Owerri.
He urged Christians not to yield their souls in the pursuit of worldly pleasures, advising them instead, to emulate the life of Christ.
The Chaplain also urged them to be charitable at all times, stressing that it was the duty of every Christian to help all in need.
He also called for prayers for the leadership of Nigeria, while encouraging all to contribute to the efforts to improve the quality of life of all citizens.
“Strive to be charitable at all times and help out one another when you can; do not be quick to cast blame on the government for the situation of the country.
“Do your bit by helping those you can help and pray for the country and its leaders to improve,” the the Cleric said.(NAN)
