Ilorin, April 10, 2017 (NAN) Ernest Governor, Abubakar Bukola Saraki (ABS) FC’s of Ilorin central defender, has expressed delight over his goal that ended the club’s six games dry run in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) fixture in Ilorin on Sunday.

Governor told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Monday in Ilorin that for the period the results were not coming it was tough for him and his teammates.

He spoke following the lone goal of the match which he scored from the 25 yards box from a free kick to beat visiting Nasarawa United FC of Lafia 1-0.

“I am delighted to have scored a goal; I hope it will restore confidence in the team again as we have been working very hard in training to turn things around.

“Another positive note for us is the fact that the result came with a good team in Nasarawa United.

“Solid Miners gave us a good fight and we really fought very hard to win on Sunday,’’ he told NAN.

“I hope we can get going from here again because it has been tough few weeks for us.

“It is tough in the sense that we are used to winning when the league started and suddenly we are struggling to win.

“It is not because we are playing badly, we are actually playing good only that the results are not coming,’’ Governor said.

The former Kogi United defender said the best had yet to come from him and promised the fans to expect plenty of good soccer artistry. (NAN)
