Abuja, April 6, 2017 (NAN) The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet), has predicted partly cloudy weather conditions over the central states of the country on Friday.
NiMet, in its Weather Outlook by the Central Forecast Office on Thursday in Abuja also predicted chances of localised thunderstorm over Abuja, Jalingo, Makurdi, Lafia, and Lokoja during the afternoon and evening.
It added that the region would have day and night temperature of 34 to 43 and 20 to 29 degrees Celsius respectively.
The agency predicted that southern states would experience morning cloudy conditions over the inland and coastal cities with day and night temperatures of 32 to 37 and 22 to 27 degrees Celsius respectively.
It also predicted chances of localised thunderstorms over Oshogbo, Ado-Ekiti, Akure, Benin, Awka, Enugu and most part of coastal cities during the afternoon and evening hours.
According to NiMet, northern states are expected to experience sunny and hazy conditions with good visibility in the next 24 hours except for Yelwa which might experience partly cloudy conditions.
“The Northern states will also have day and night temperature of 38 to 44 and 15 to 30 degrees Celsius respectively.
“Sunny weather conditions are expected over most parts of the northern cities.
“Cloudy to partly cloudy conditions will prevail over the central and southern cities with chances of isolated thunderstorms in the next 24 hours,’’ NiMet predicted. (NAN)
