Group lauds President Buhari for seeking harmonious relationship with Senate

Abuja, March 30, 2017 (NAN) The Buhari Media Support Group on Thursday in Abuja commended President Muhammadu Buhari for his decision to constitute a Committee to find a lasting solution to the lingering face-off between the Executive and the National assembly.
The group in a statement signed by Mr Muhammad Labbo, its Chairman and Cassidy Madueke its Secretary, urged the Senate to reciprocate the President’s good gesture.
It said that President Buhari had made a bold move to ensure that the disagreements between both arms of government did not distract his administration.
It urged the Senate to ensure that it keyed into the president’s vision to serve Nigerians selflessly and win the war against corruption.
The group reminded the Senate that the expectations of Nigerians on it were high, especially as the country was currently facing challenges in different areas.
It also appealed to the Senate to deliberate and pass the 2017 appropriation Bill without further delay to enable the executive to implement programmes for the overall benefit of Nigerians.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the committee would be headed by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo. (NAN)
