Abuja, March 29, 2017 (NAN) Justice Ebeye Isele of the National Industrial Court, Abuja, has urged lawyers to utilise the mobile app introduced by the court to boost justice delivery.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) recalls that Justice Babatunde Adejumo, President of the National Industrial Court, announced in January that the court was working with consultants to develop the app.
Isele spoke in court on Wednesday when some litigants and their lawyers failed to appear for their cases.
The judge said that if the lawyers and litigants had installed the app on their phones, they would be well updated on their cases and days for appearance.
According to him, the app which issues updates on hearing notices, cause lists and other court proceedings, is cost effective and guarantees speedy processes.
When Adejumo intimated lawyers of the app, he displayed some features of the mobile app to lawyers in court.
He reiterated the need for lawyers and judges to improve their skills in labour practice.
According to Adejumo, the app is open for public use and can be downloaded on the phone through play store. (NAN)
