Alleged disengagement: Court fixes April 28 for hearing of worker’s suit

Abuja, March 28, 2017 (NAN) The National Industrial Court, Abuja, has fixed April 28 for hearing of the case of alleged wrongful termination of appointment instituted by one Akinrinde Samuel against Spectranet Company Ltd.

Other respondents listed in the suit are Head of Operations, Abuja Office of the company, Mr Dibajiyoti Mahnata, one Zakir Husseni and Volab Consulting Ltd, all represented in court by Mr O. Solake.

The claimant is challenging his alleged disengagement from the company in August 2015, is also the court to award him damages for the alleged breach of contract.

Samuel had alleged that the company did not comply with the terms of his employment before his service was terminated.

The aggrieved wants the court to prevail on the company to pay his entitlements as well as the cost of litigation.

The judge, Justice Edith Agbakoba, adjourned hearing in the suit to enable the claimant’s counsel, Mr C. Abengowe, to serve the respondents counsel with documents tendered by the claimant. (NAN)
