Partly cloudy, sunny, hazy weather to prevail on Sunday – NiMet

Abuja, March, 25, 2017 (NAN) The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet), has predicted partly cloudy weather conditions over the central states of the country on Sunday, especially Abuja, Lokoja, Bida and Makurdi.

NiMet gave the prediction in the Weather Outlook by its Central Forecast Office (CFO), on Saturday in Abuja.

It added that sunny and hazy conditions would prevail over Jos, Bauchi and Kaduna day and night temperature of 35 to 40 and 22 to 27 degrees Celsius respectively.

The agency predicted that southern states would experience prospects of localised thunderstorms over Lagos, Ijebu-Ode, Ibadan and Benin in the morning.

It also predicted localised thunderstorms over Port-Harcourt, Calabar, Yenagoa, Ikom, Warri, Owerri, Umuahia and Osogbo later in the day with day and night temperature of 32 to 37 and 22 to 25 degrees Celsius respectively.

According to NiMet, northern states will experience sunny and hazy conditions with day and night temperature of 38 to 42 and 20 to 26 degrees Celsius respectively.

“The northern cities are expected to be in Sunny and hazy situations while cloudy to partly cloudy conditions is anticipated over the central cities down to the southern areas.

“There will be prospects of localized thunderstorms around the high grounds and coastal cities of the south in the next 24 hours,” NiMet predicted.(NAN)
