Man, 30, docked for defiling neighbour’s 11-year-old daughter

By Moronke Boboye Lagos, March 16, 2017 (NAN) A 30-year-old man, Joseph Acham, who allegedly defiled his neighbour’s 11-year-old daughter was on Thursday charged before an Ikeja Chief Magistrates’ Court.
Acham, unemployed, who resides at 8, Okanlawon St., Mafoluku, Oshodi, Lagos, is being tried for defilement.
The Prosecutor, Sgt. Raphael Donny, told the court that the offence was committed on March 3 at the residence of the accused.
Donny said that the accused called the victim to his room on the pretext of sending her on an errand.
”The accused shut the door at her and defiled her,” he said.
Donny said that the girl later told her mother when she could not urinate properly.
He said the offence contravened Section 137 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011.
The accused, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge.
The Chief Magistrate, Mrs Davies Abegunde, granted the accused N300,000 bail with two sureties in like sum and adjourned the case to April 12 for mention. (NAN)
