NASG promises to resolve all boundary disputes

Lafia, March 9, 2017 (NAN) The Nasarawa State Government says it will resolve lingering boundary disputes by engaging all concerned toward amicable resolutions.

Governor Tanko Al-Makura, who stated this on Thursday in Lafia, said dialogue would be deployed by the government so that agreements arrived at, would stand the test of time.

Al-makura, who spoke when he received a delegation of Mada community, led by the Chun Mada, Mr Samson Gamu-Yare, declared that the focus was on restoring peace and stability to make way for growth and progress.

He said that all issues arising from boundary demarcations would be resolved amicably, and cautioned aggrieved groups against taking the law into their hands.

The governor expressed happiness that the Mada nation had chosen to honour him by the visit, and assured his guests that Mada communities would soon have good roads and bridges.

He urged the people to to sustain their good values by accepting everyone resident in their domain as a brother and  sister.

Earlier,the  leader of the delegation, Gamu-Yare, had expressed his people’s appreciation over the attention government was paying to roads and other infrastructure in Mada land.

Gamu-Yare declared his people’s unflinching support to the Al-makura administration , “especially after you chose one of us as your deputy governor”. (NAN)
