Abuja, March. 3, 2017 (NAN) The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has predicted sunny and hazy conditions over the central states of the country on Saturday morning.
NiMet gave the prediction in its Weather Outlook by the Central Forecast Office on Friday in Abuja.
It also predicted partly cloudy conditions in the afternoon and evening hours with day and night temperature of 32 to 40 and 16 to 27 degrees Celsius respectively.
The agency predicted the southern states would experience cloudy conditions with prospects of localised thundery showers over Lagos, Port Harcourt and Yenagoa during the morning hours.
It also predicted localised thundery showers over the inland and coastal cities during the afternoon and evening hours with day and night temperatures of 35 to 40 and 24 to 27 degrees Celsius respectively.
According to NiMet, northern states will experience sunny and hazy conditions with day and night temperatures of 35 to 41 and 18 and 23 degrees Celsius respectively.
“The weather condition is expected to be hotter due to the increase in moisture and temperature values while some cities in the southern part of the country will experience thundery showers,’’ NiMet predicted. (NAN)
