Moderate dust haze atmosphere to prevail on Saturday – NiMet

Abuja, Feb. 17, 2017 (NAN) The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has predicted moderate dust haze conditions with horizontal visibility range of two to five kilometres over the Central states of the country on Saturday.
NiMet gave the prediction in its Weather Outlook by the Central Forecast Office on Friday in Abuja.
It also predicted that the region would have day and night temperature of 29 to 37 degrees Celsius and 19 to 23 degrees Celsius respectively.
NiMet predicted that Southern states would experience moderate dust haze with visibility range of two to five kilometres over the inland and coastal cities during the forecast period.
It also predicted day and night temperatures of 34 to 36 and 19 to 24 degrees Celsius respectively over the southern states.
According to NiMet, Northern states will experience thick dust haze condition in visibility of less than 1,000m with day and night temperature of 27 to 36 and 12 to 19 degrees Celsius respectively.
“Further deterioration in horizontal visibility is expected over the north while central cities down to the inland and coastal cities will be in moderate dust haze with visibility range of two to five kilometres in the next 24 hours,” NiMet predicted. (NAN)
