The Upper Area Court Judge, Mr Umar Kagarko ordered that both suspects be remanded until Feb.20, for conclusion of investigations and consideration of bail.

He said that the complainant alleged that on same date, “he went to the stream to wash his clothes.’’
He said that while trying to wash his clothes, both defendants attacked him.
As the complainant was running away, the first defendant, Sheraf “used a knife to stab him at his back.
“He was admitted in the Intensive Care Unit of National Hospital, where he received treatment,’’ Ayanna said.
The prosecutor also said that the injuries sustained due to the knife attack on the complainant’s back, were not completely healed.
He said that during police investigations, both men admitted to committing the said offence.
He said the offence was contrary to Sections 97 and 241 of the Penal Code. (NAN)
