Asaba, Feb.17, 2017 (NAN) An Asaba Magistrates’ Court on Friday ordered the remand of a teenager, Isaac Ogboafo, at the Ogwasku-Uku prison for alleged armed robbery.
The accused, eighteen years old, is facing one-court charge of armed robbery.
The Magistrate, Mrs Okonkwo Aknume, who gave the order, adjourned the case till Feb. 27.
The Prosecutor, Mr Ali Samson, told the court that the accused committed the offence on the Dec. 5, 2016 at Agbagana st., Jarret, Asaba in Delta.
Samson told the court that the accused allegedly robbed one Mr Chibiuke Nnwite of his Techno cellphone, his wallet and N34,000 cash while armed with an iron rod.
He said that the offence contravened Sections 6(b) and 2(a)f the Robbery and fire Arms (Special Provision)Act Cap R11 Vol 14 Laws of the Federation of Nigeria 2006.
The plea of the accused was not taken. (NAN)
