NiMet predicts dust haze, partly cloudy weather on Wednesday

Abuja, Feb. 14, 2017 (NAN) The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has predicted dust haze conditions over the central States of the country on Wednesday.
NiMet gave the prediction in its Weather Outlook by the Central Forecast Office in Abuja on Tuesday
It also predicted that the region would have day and night temperature of 31 to 38 degrees Celsius and 12 to 21 degrees Celsius, respectively.
The agency predicted that southern states would experience morning partly cloudy and mist patches over the inland and coastal cities with day and night temperatures of 35 to 37 and 20 to 27 degrees Celsius, respectively.
It also predicted hazy conditions over the inland cities of region with some chances of isolated rain showers over Lagos, Ijebu-Ode, Yenegoa, Port Harcourt, Eket and Calabar axis later in the day.
According to NiMet, northern states will experience thick dust haze conditions over Maiduguri, Yola, Katsina, Kano, Nguru, Gombe and Damaturu in the next 24hours.
“The northwestern cities of Sokoto, Gusau and Yelwa will be under moderate dust haze conditions with day and night temperature values in the range of 33 to 37 and 13 to 19 degrees Celsius respectively.
“Thick dust haze conditions with reduced horizontal visibility are expected to prevail over the northeastern cities of the country in the next 24 hours,” NiMet predicted. (NAN)
