Kano, Feb. 14, 2017 (NAN) The Kano State Government says it is committed to harnessing its human and natural resources to provide more job opportunities in the state.
The State Commissioner for Works, Housing and Transport, Alhaji Shehu Lambu,stated this on Tuesday while signing a contract for the supply and installation of equipment at the state Skills Acquisition Center.
Lambu said if the centre was adequately equipped, it could accommodate over 500 youths at a time for training in different crafts.
He urged the contractor to ensure supply and installation of modern equipment at the center, as contained in the contract agreement and ensure timely completion of the project.
He said the State Government was committed to improvement of the socio-economic well being of the people.
Responding, the contractor, Mr Yusuf Jafar, pledged to do his best and complete the work within 20 months as indicated in the contract agreement. (NAN)
