FCT minister urges Tiv people to continue to support FG

Abuja, Sept. 28, 2016 (NAN) The FCT Minister, Malam Muhammad Bello, has urged the Tiv people resident in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) to continue to support the government of President Muhammadu Buhari.

The minister made the call when a delegation of Tiv Community resident in the FCT paid him a visit on Wednesday in Abuja.

Bello said that the continued support from all Nigerians irrespective of ethnic, political or religious inclinations was necessary to enable the President take Nigeria to greater heights.

He also urged them to extend that same support to all his appointees in the FCT Administration to enable them deliver quality services to the residents as captured in the Change Agenda of the Federal Government.

Bello assured that his administration would continue to run an open door policy and an all-inclusive government with all the strata of the society carried along to give every sector of the country a sense of belonging.

The minister called for peaceful co-existence among all ethnic groups resident in the FCT.

The leader of the delegation, Chief Joseph Aneh, promised to continue to live in peace with other residents of the FCT.

Aneh appealed to the minister to allocate to them a plot of land to build a Tiv Cultural Centre in Abuja. (NAN)
