Lagos, Feb. 2, 2017 (NAN) Sesan Olukoya, the Secretary of Professional Wrestling Africa (PWA), on Thursday appealed to corporate bodies to support Nigeria’s “Power Lee De Great’s’’ quest to storm the international arena.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Power Lee De Great born Godspower Ikpide, is currently the PWA title holder and national heavyweight champion.
Olukoya told NAN in Lagos that the wrestler had commenced preparation ahead of his fight against U.S.-based “Flex Steel’’ in Alabama.
He said both wrestlers would compete for the Allied Independent Wrestling Federation (AIWF) intercontinental elimination belt scheduled for May.
He added that the wrestler would depart the country to the U.S. in April to train further in the Central All Star Wrestling Arena ahead of the fight.
“Power Lee is doing everything possible within his power to make this a reality but he also needs support from all quarters to attain success in the fight.
“He has conquered Africa as a wrestler and I believe he can do the same in the international scene if given the needed support.
“In the past, we had wrestlers who competed in the international arena and made the country proud, Power Lee is ready to repeat the same feat,’’ he said.(NAN)
