2017 Hajj: Last batch of 540 Kano State pilgrims transported to Saudi Arabia – Official

Kano, Aug. 25, 2017 (NAN) The last batch of 540  intending pilgrims from  Kano State  has been transported to Saudi Arabia for the 2017 Hajj.

The pilgrims departed the Malam Aminu Kano International Airport aboard a Max Air Boeing 747 aircraft at exactly 3:29 p.m. on Friday.

The Public Relations Officer of the State Pilgrims Welfare Board Alhaji Nuhu Badamasi,  disclosed this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) shortly before his departure to the Holy land alongside the pilgrims.

Badamasi said that the last flight brought to 10, the total number of trips made by the airline in transporting the state pilgrims to Saudi Arabia.

“The airline had transported all the 5, 500 intending pilgrims from the state to the Holy land without any hitches.

“With this last batch of 540 intending pilgrims, the airline has concluded the transportation of our pilgrims to the Holy land,” he said.

The public relations officer commended the Airline for the successful transportation of the pilgrims to the Holy land and expressed the hope that the company would maintain the tempo during the return flights.

NAN reports that the transportation of the state pilgrims began on Monday, Aug. 14, after it was delayed by one day due to down pour. (NAN)
