2 teenagers in court for stealing N250,000

Asaba, Dec. 30, 2016 (NAN) Two teenagers, Destiny Uwadinisu and Prince Ochonogor, were on Friday arraigned in an Asaba Magistrates’ Court for stealing.

The two accused persons charged with stealing, were said to have stolen N250, 000 belonging to one Mr Okobi Sylvester.

The prosecuting police officer, Mrs Blessing Okafor, told the court that the accused committed the offence on March 8 at No. 42 Osawen Road, Asaba.

Okafor said that the offence was punishable under Section 390(9) of the Criminal Code Law, Cap C-21, Vol. 1 laws of Delta State of Nigeria, 2006.

The accused persons pleaded not guilty and were granted N50, 000 bail with a surety each.

The Magistrate, Mrs Akanume Okonkwo, ordered that the surety must provide an evidence of employment, must be resident in Asaba and also provide two passport photographs.

She adjourned the case to Jan. 9, 2017 for definite hearing. (NAN)
