Abuja, Jan. 9, 2018 (NAN) A Karmo Grade 1 Area Court, Abuja, on Tuesday sentenced a vagrant, Hassan Jubri, to five months imprisonment for stealing a cell phone worth N6, 000.
Jubri, 19, of no fixed address, was arraigned on a count charge of stealing.
The Judge, Mr Abubakar Sadiq, sentenced the convict after he pleaded guilty to the charge.
Sadiq, however, warned the convict to be of good behaviour and to desist from committing crimes after serving his punishment.
Earlier, the prosecuting counsel, Mrs Florence Auhioboh, had informed the court that one Mubarak Ibrahim of 4th Avenue, Gwarinpa, Abuja, reported the matter at the Life Camp Police Station on Jan.1.

The prosecutor said that during police investigation, the convict admitted committing the offence, while the said phone was recovered from him.
The offence contravened Section 287 of the Penal Code. (NAN)
